查尔斯库克是纳帕谷的第一家酒庄。由著名的彼得蒙大卫家族于1861年创建而成。
酒庄致力于酿造高品质的葡萄酒。酒庄的酿酒师以及管理者皆是纳帕谷最具经验的专家。以小彼得蒙大卫为主的团队坚持以“质量远胜于数量”为宗旨，只在丰收季节采摘高质量的葡萄。
好的葡萄，要求天时地利人和。在1999到2009期间，酒庄开始采用波尔多的一些克隆葡萄进行种植。酒庄2010年份的波尔多红葡萄酒正是用这些葡萄酿造而成，口感饱满，层次分明。
酒庄所拥有的850公顷的11个葡萄园均为可持续性种植，是名符其实的纳帕谷最佳酒庄之一。
